About BarkParkScout

BarkParkScout is a guide to dog parks across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. A map pin tells you where a dog park is. We try to tell you what you'll find when you get there: whether it's fenced, whether there's a separate area for small dogs, whether there's water, what the ground is like, and whether you need a permit or have to live in town to use it.

Where the listings come from

We start from OpenStreetMap, the free, community-built world map, and leave out dog runs that belong to apartment buildings, neighborhood associations and businesses. Then we check parks one by one: "Details checked" means we matched the listing against the town, county or park's own website, and "Confirmed by the park" means the people who run it told us directly. Both show the date we checked.

Run a dog park, or know one well?

If something's wrong or missing, or you'd like a park removed, let us know and we'll fix it.
